To create a successful still life, the artist has to give attention to the composition and to the negative space. The missing movement of the subjects needs the balance provided by an attractive and powerful background. In this piece I designed a multiple colored, textural setting for the vases. The overall composition has a contemporary, elegant feel and is fitting for different color decors for homes and offices.
